What is a “Soft Play Space” and is it safe?
Soft play spaces are indoor/outdoor setups that include soft flooring, equipment that is developmentally appropriate, and secure boundaries. Our setups provide a welcoming environment for children ages 0-5 to play and explore with their friends. These spaces are designed with safety in mind to prevent big falls and serious injury. All equipment is cleaned and disinfected after every party using safe, effective products.
Do You Offer a Bounce House Option?
After extensive research and concerns regarding safety, we have made the decision to discontinue offering bounce house add-on options. This choice was made to uphold the safety of our young guests, as bounce house inflatables present risks such as concussions and broken bones. Ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment that reflects our values is paramount. While you are welcome to supply your own bounce house or rent one from another vendor, please note that it must be set up in an area separate from our play space. Safety remains our top priority, and we appreciate your understanding.
What is the booking process?
To secure your event date, click "Book Your Event" and fill out the form. We'll confirm within 24 hours if your date is open. After finalizing the details, we'll send you a Rental Agreement. Your date is only secured upon receiving the deposit.
What is required if my event is outdoors?
Outdoor set ups will require a shaded area or a suitable cover in the form of a party tent, etc, as the equipment will get hot in direct sunlight. We DO NOT supply party tents. A tarp will be placed under the rubber flooring, but we ask that the area is a grassy, leveled surface, is dry and free of debris/glass. We do not set up on dirt, sand, rock, cement, or gravel. There is an additional deposit of $75 for all outdoor setups. Pending no extensive damages, the deposit is fully refundable.
What if rain is in the forecast or it rains on the day of my event?
We highly suggest that you have an alternative indoor location in the event that it rains. Should rain be in the forecast for the day of the party and there is no alternative indoor location, we will be unable to set up. No refunds will be given, but a credit will be issued for a future party.
How does delivery work? Is there a delivery fee?
Delivery includes setup and breakdown of the play space equipment. We require at least 1 (one) hour for both and is not part of your rental time. If there will be any restrictions that may delay set up (like stairs, lack of parking, etc.) please let us know prior to the event so that we may plan accordingly.
We offer free delivery within a 25-mile radius from zip code 08050. Locations outside of 25 miles will have a delivery fee of $1 per mile over 25 miles.
What are the rules of the soft play space?
-Our equipment is for children ages 0-5 years old. Please note, if you have reserved the Littles Lounge, only children ages 0-3 may utilize the space.
-Adults may enter the play space, but should not be in the ball pit or sitting on soft structures.
-No face paint, slime, chalk, markers, crayons, paint, play doh, or any sharp objects in the play area.
-No food, drinks, candy, or chewing gum allowed in the play area.
-No shoes or heels are to be worn in the soft play area. Socks only. The equipment is used by young children and wearing shoes compromises their health and safety.
-No Confetti, glitter, or sand on the play equipment.
-All balls must be returned to the ball pit prior to us picking up our equipment. This ensures a faster breakdown.
-All equipment must remain in the play area and the play space may not be moved once it is set up.
*Failure to comply with the rules set forth by The Play Lounge Party Rental, LLC may result in the forfeit of your deposit. Please refer to your rental agreement for more in-depth details.
Are You Insured?
Absolutely! The Play Lounge Party Rental, LLC carries liability insurance. However, it is the host's responsibility to ensure that there is adequate adult supervision of the children utilizing the play space at all times. A liability waiver, which is part of your rental agreement, must be acknowledged and understood, prior to your party date. We are happy to provide our certificate of insurance upon request.
